EDYSL Parents
East Diablo Youth Soccer Club believes that soccer is a
players game. The game belongs to the kids and is an avenue to
help them develop social, physical and cognitive skills to
become a better person. While there is "competition" in each
practice and game they play, it is the goal to "strive to win"
not the end (Scoreboard) result that matters.
At the Recreation (Division 4) level, there are no BIG
Games, and there are no MUST WIN situations. There is simply a
game to be played where the goal of the players is to go out
and do the best they can. If they do the best they can, there
is little more even that a coach or parent can ask (win or
lose) of a player.
